Overseas Convenience Store Service Case
BEERLINK's Finback Whale Series Beer Export Project to Russia
This project originated at the Asia Craft Beer Conference & Expo (CBCE), Asia's largest craft beer industry event. During the conference, the renowned Russian convenience store brand “русский - разгуляйка” initiated preliminary discussions with the BEERLINK team. Leveraging its professional R&D capabilities, mature production systems, and comprehensive technical support, BEERLINK successfully gained recognition from its Russian partners, leading to the formal launch of their collaboration.
To align with Russian market preferences, the BEERLINK R&D team conducted multiple rounds of formula optimization and taste adjustments, successfully developing two core products: German-style wheat beer and whole-grain lager craft beer. Following Russian confirmation of the samples, the project swiftly advanced to mass production preparation. Throughout implementation, the team confronted multiple challenges, overcoming each through meticulous control and technological innovation:
Label compliance adaptation
Due to differences in food label standards between China and Russia, to ensure that the products meet Russia's relevant national regulations, the BEERLINK team established a special communication mechanism with its Russian partners. Together, they comprehensively sorted out and adjusted label information, format specifications, etc., and finally completed the implementation of compliant labels.
II. Overcoming Challenges in One-Item-One-Code Labeling Technology
Russia enforces a stringent one-item-one-code management system for imported food products. Unlike other countries, it mandates that a unique QR code be affixed to the top of each can. This requirement imposes exceptionally high demands on label layout precision and labeling process stability. Through multiple rounds of technical validation, the BEERLINK team optimized printing layout solutions and identified highly efficient, compatible application processes. Simultaneously, repeated trials adjusted labeling parameters, ultimately achieving 100% standardized results with zero code loss or omission. Addressing Russia's subsequent requirement for corresponding barcode application on outer cartons, the team has fully implemented this in the latest production batch, ensuring end-to-end compliance.
III. Full-Process Quality and Packaging Control
From production to export, products undergo multiple stringent stages: breweries strictly enforce quality control standards throughout the entire process, including raw material inspection, production process quality checks, and finished product canning. Considering the long-distance transport to Russia, packaging fully adheres to BEERLINK's export standard procedures, implementing meticulous control over critical processes such as packing and sealing to minimize damage risks during transit and ensure products arrive intact.
After passing tiered inspections, products are shipped to Russia via container. A diversified logistics network integrating sea, land, and rail transport has been established to ensure stable supply to the Russian market.
Today, BEERLINK's Finback Series beers have successfully entered Russian offline convenience store terminals, gaining widespread recognition from local consumers. Behind consumers pausing to select and confidently purchase these beers from store shelves lies not only the rich flavor imparted by premium ingredients, but also the embodiment of BEERLINK's unwavering commitment to craftsmanship and pursuit of excellence. This demonstrates the product strength and service standards of Chinese craft beer in the international market.
